COVENANT OF COMMITMENT AND SUPPORT TO
SEN. PANFILO 'PING" LACSON
FOR 2004 PRESIDENT

For more than five (5) decades, our Republic have been besieged with so many wars - to its left is the CPP-NPA, to its right is the Muslim Separatist Movement and to its center are the crime syndicate, scoundrels and scalawags.

After three (3) national elections, under four (4) Presidents and two (2) successful EDSA People Power, our country is still wanting for a true leader that can unite our people.

Many Filipino families, constantly live in fear because our streets are littered with criminals, drug dealers and syndicates.
Corruption in the bureaucracy has become prevalent and have reached scandalous proportions.
Widespread poverty and deprivation brought about by unemployment and lack of economic opportunities both in urban and rural areas has become alarming.
PEACE, UNITY and PROSPERITY has always been an elusive dream among people - poverty, unemployment, corruption, peace and order has become the Order of the Day. Our country is in a quagmire. Our country is sinking, and sinking fast.

Many has become hopeless, many believed the trend is irreversible. And many believed the 2004 election is the last hope for democracy to survive in our country. God forbids!

We believe in a strong Republic. But to be lead by an equally strong leader - in the person and character of Senator "Ping" Lacson. Only he can summon the Filipino people to fight together the battles ahead of us and establish the rule of law in our country that ultimately progress and development, peace and harmony may prevail.

Now therefore, we the various sectoral leaders representing the different socio-civic organizations in the City of Davao, hereby manifest our commitment of support and endorse Senator Panfilo "Ping" Lacson for President of the Republic of the Philippines come 2004.

Henceforth, we all affix our signatures as emblem of our solidarity as we rally everyone in the community to be part of this Movement.
